About the Author
Born and raised in San Francisco, I am a true Giants (2010 World Series Champions!) and 49ers (5-time Super Bowl Champs!) fan even when their seasons are less than stellar. I am a practicing Catholic who is passionate about her faith, but loves to learn about and understand other faith traditions. I am open-minded about what I learn and am always willing to listen to different opinions. I respect everyone regardless of who they are or what they believe, because I believe that the greatest mission we are all sent to accomplish is that of LOVING (giving love and accepting love).
I am a bibliophile and an audiophile. I love literature. I love the smell of ink on paper and you’ll often catch me at bookstores sniffing books. Literature and music stir my soul and I believe that they are the building blocks and greatest treasures of the human race. Give me some books and some music and I’m a happy young woman.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English (concentrations in Professional/Creative Writing and British Romanticism) and a Master of Arts in Theology (Systematic). I have attended Catholic schools since age 4 — educated by Dominican sisters and Jesuits. Currently, I am working on a second Master of Arts degree in Catholic Education.
I love the study of literature and the study of theology equally and am happiest when I can share my knowledge and opinions with others. I am unafraid to tread on uncharted conversational territory.
I am a Public Relations Professional and a New Media Specialist. I have worked on successful New Media campaigns for clients ranging from FORTUNE 500 corporations to non-profits. In the past five years I have conducted research and worked in the intersection of New Media and the Church. I have worked with various Churches and Catholic organizations on branding, messaging, and New Media campaigns. I am also a freelance writer and have been a featured presenter and speaker in the Bay Area.
My writing has appeared at Patheos.com and U.S. Catholic.
I like to play nice with others and expect the same from anyone who comes across this blog.
Thanks!
Angelica
