Book Review Policy
I love to read! In fact, I love the smell of books! I can remember being in love with literature since I was a child. Since I read so much, I thought it would be a great idea to share my love of reading and review old and new finds for others. I look forward to making this blog part of the literary conversation.
My policy is fairly straightforward. I review new and older releases (including the classics).
Here’s how the review process works on this blog:
- I will review books that I purchase for my own pleasure.
- If I have requested a book from a publisher, I will do my best to review it prior to the date of release or within a month of the release (depending on when I receive it and what is already in the pipeline). I will do my best to communicate with my point-of-contact.
- If I am contacted about a review, I will make a decision whether or not to accept a review copy based on how much interest in generated from the request. Contacts must send at least a 150-description with author bio OR a link to a website where the information can be found.
- I do not promise a positive review, but I do promise a fair and honest one.
- I will not sell review copies.
WHAT I WILL REVIEW: Literary Fiction, Mysteries, Poetry, Historical Fiction, Horror/Suspense (think Stephen King), Suspense, Books on Religion/Theology/Spirituality/Catholicism
WHAT I WILL NOT REVIEW: Fitness, Self-Help, How-To Guides, Cookbooks, Romance Novels, Self-Published Books
WHAT I MIGHT REVIEW: Science-Fiction/Fantasy (no aliens), Non-Fiction
I prefer to accept books in printed format (hardcover/paperback), but have a Kindle and will accept e-books.
