Here’s a moving and beautiful sneak peek of what we’ll be hearing in Audrey Assad’s Heart, her second studio album, set for release on Valentine’s Day. Singer/songwriter Audrey Assad has released an eight-track live album exclusively on iTunes. The album includes tracks from her debut album, The House You’re Building, a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Hungry Heart”, and her new song “Sparrow”. Live from SOHO was recorded live at the Apple store in New York’s SOHO district. Check out the video below to hear from Audrey about the new live recording, her music, and more.

Back in July 2010, I had the chance to review The House You’re Building by Audrey Assad. One of my favorite tracks on that album is “Restless,” penned by Assad and Matt Maher. A few days ago, Assad posted a video on her Tumblr page that is both a performance video, of “Restless”, and an honest discussion about the difficulties of finding silence today.
